Former president of the Milwaukee Firefighters Union joins investment advisory firm

MILWAUKEE, WI, January 17th, 2022 — Former President of the Milwaukee Firefighters Union, Mike Bongiorno recently joined the Anew Advisors team. Bongiorno took the role to continue his efforts working to serve first responders.

Anew Advisors specializes in providing investment and retirement planning advice for first responders and high-income earners. Bongiorno joined the team specifically to work with first-responders.

Bongiorno started his career in fire service in 1990 in New Berlin before the Milwaukee Fire Department hired him in 1993, where he worked for the last 28 years. For the last four years, Bongiorno also served as the Milwaukee Professional Firefighters Local 215 Union President.

“Being able to work with and help the people that I care about so much, police, fire, and EMS workers, is incredibly important to me,” Bongiorno said of the role. “I’m hoping in this position I can educate and explain things in a way that my fellow public safety workers understand. I hope to create relationships that are fostered through trust. In the work that we do in our communities, having trust in your partner or crew is priority number one.”
